‘Volt Introduces’ ten young artists from UCA Epsom to display their upcoming graduate work.
Rosie Bertuello studied at Ravensbourne College (Foundation in Art/Media/Design) and then at UCA Epsom (Fashion Promotion & Imaging BA (Hons). Rosie recently completed her final year at university, and is now embarking on her styling career.
Volt Café: If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Rosie Bertuello: Definitely the ability to see into the future. Like the film ‘Deja Vu’ in which Denzel Washington could see events four days before they occurred. It would be amazing to see collections before they were unveiled at fashion week.
VC: What is the most important thing you learned during college?
RB: To take criticism with a pinch of salt!
VC: What is your favourite piece of clothing from your wardrobe?
RB: Not specifically a piece of clothing, but a mother of pearl ring that once belonged to my Nan which I wear every day.
VC: How would you describe your work aesthetics?
RB: Experimenting with Menswear and Womenswear on the opposite sex. The topic of gender is something that I find fascinating.
The work of the students will be presented during the month September. Special thanks to PUMA for their support. We’ll update you with more information closer to the date.
