To celebrate the birth of the 1460 boot the clever people at Dr Martins HQ have teamed up with ten of the most exciting contemporary musicians, asked each to cover a cult classic song, then brought on board ten directors to capture the innovative and original results on film… And boy have they captured something! Our particular favourite is Noisettes rendition of ‘Ever fallen in love’ by Buzzcocks, directed by Rankin and Chris Hear. Noisettes rework the song into an energetic electro extravaganza, and lead singer Shingai Shoniwa effortlessly rocks some pretty gorgeous looks complete with an array of Dr Martin 1460 boots – gold is most definitely the stand out colourway, although it’s a close call with a metallic pink pair also being thrown into the mix… To add insult to injury Dr Martin are offering yet more choice with the exclusive release of the 1460 boot and 1461 shoe to select outlets available in a limited run of 1,460 boots and 1,461 shoes. Both styles are offered in Black and Cherry Red polished pebble leather with distinctive gold heel loops and eyelets. It seems only right to get one of each… Other artists involved include DāM-FunK, The Duke Spirit, Buraka Som Sistema, The Cinematic Orchestra, Verbal, N.A.S.A, The Raveonettes, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and MC5’s Michael Davis & D.O.A.
