Chloe is celebrating its 60th birthday by releasing 16 coveted creations from the archives, the ones that more than any other Chloe designs – and let’s face it, there have been many – led to long waiting lists and the birth of trends not to mention (ahem) ‘homages’.
Looking at the images you’ll most likely smile in recognition of these witty and playful key designs, remembering how desirable they were at the time and how they still look as wonderful now as they did then. Only Chloe could make you truly yearn for a high-waisted jean or realise that you had to have a white romantic blouse.
Chloe is an influential label that has seen a succession of creative and illustrious designers in charge, including founder Gaby Aghion, Martine Sitbon, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, Hannah MacGibbon and now Clare Waight Keller.
The anniversary edition will be available from the 24th January at Printemps, Paris. After that at Selfridges, London and on Net Á Porter from the 1st March, at Barneys, NYC from 3rd March and finally at Isetan, Tokyo from 27th March.
