From her East London based studio, the contemporary designer and maker Michelle Oh is bringing out subtle looking jewellery made from precious materials. All pieces are inspired by her day to day observations of human relationships and nature. She trained in Jewellery Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. From the sensitivity in her work you can see her narrative and her collections are made in small production runs, never mass produced. Out of the mix of using hand-cast traditional techniques and locally sourced materials, fine yet strong structures are emerging in her work. One of her best selling designs are the Initial Rings, which are handmade in sterling silver, yellow gold or rose gold. A letter of your choice will be hand stamped to personalize this ring and you can be sure to have a unique piece on your fingers. These and other pieces are strong by their simplicity but detailed in just the right way so that you want to discover the story behind it. Michelle Oh uses recycled materials wherever possible.
